At Sneeuberg, days are spent exploring the 14 500 hectare Nature reserve and returning for a hearty lunch on the patio, followed by a lazy siesta, lying flat with a pile of reading matter or cooling off in one of the swimming pools. Evenings are spent around a fire, enjoying Karoo fare that you have either prepared by yourself in the fully equipped kitchens or delivered by the Sneeuberg staff.
Our aim is to rehabilitate the land by introducing indigenous game and Nguni cattle. We run a herd of about 300 Ngunis. Kudu, Mountain and Vaal Rhebok have always been here. Black Wildebeest, Plains Zebra, Springbok and Eland have now been introduced. Small mammals like Steenbok, Ground Squirrels, Rabbits and Baboons can be seen on a daily basis.
