We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Poplars. There were 7 of us - plenty of space, lots of places to sit quietly or with the group, an interesting and rambling old house, a big kitchen, and great walks. Definitely to be visited again.

Van die eerste dag met plek bespreking, finale reeling tref vir groep van 1 jaar tot 60 jaar plus ouderdom, die pad aanwysings en aankoms op Sneeuberg, het jy die gevoel gekry hierdie is n besonderse plek in n mooi omgewing bestuur en versorg deur baie spesiale mense. En so was dit met ons aankoms by Kliphuis, uit 3 verre wind rigtings, BAIE SPESIAAL. Die geriewe vir n luukse selfsorg verblyf is alles daar, vir lekker slaap ,kosmaak en kuier, met baie onverwagte bonus geriewe in die huis en omgewing. Kliphuis hanteer minus temperature gemaklik en maak vir wonderlike kaggel kuiers.Voorwaar n plek om weer te besoek. Dankie Daron en al die mooi mense van Sneeuberg.

Our three nights went too fast. Never have we experienced such tranquility and peacefulness. Yet with the comfort of knowing our hostess, a couple of kilometres away, will be in touch every day to see if all is fine. Many thanks for maintaining this beautiful building to allow people, looking to escape from the city, a place where they can rest.

An unforgettable experience at the Karoo cottage. We were fortunate to see many different buck species and wildebeest while traveling along the gravel road to the cottage. The friendly staff and special touches made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed our morning breakfast on the stoep while looking out on the reserve. The unit is quite spacious and fully equipped, catering for all your needs. The avid Braai master will be happy with the large fireplace, utensils and wood provided. We loved our stay and especially enjoyed cooling off in the pool.

Despite the rural location in the Sneeuberg range, the booking, planning and coordination was seamless and we felt warmly welcome, even before our arrival. Kliphuis is a 'stunner' and the 4 couples in our family group were comfortable, with the equipment adequate for our planned family feast. All our requests were met to our satisfaction. Our night photography of the milky way over the Karoo landscape a winner!

We had such a fantastic peaceful holiday here, the welcome was warm and the cottage was immaculately neat, a welcome fruit bowl and loads of firewood for the icy weather, but we never felt cold! we will be back , the reserve and the cottage are just heavenly

We had a splendid time at Sneeuberg Reserve. On our arrival, we were spoiled with a delicious platter, freshly baked bread, and wine. We enjoyed it on the stoep while looking at the amazing view. Everything we needed was available in the house like firewood, matches, etc. The rooms were cozy with warm linen and electric blankets. We have done some star gazing at night. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and will recommend a visit to the Sneeuberg Reserve

Visited Kliphuis with colleagues. We enjoyed the wide-open expanses of veld all around of us - felt one with nature! So, so quiet - once cannot help but relax! Visited in August - hence the fires in the house kept us cosy and warm. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook up a storm. The decor of the house lends itself perfectly to the "architecture" and surrounds - we felt warm and coccooned. Bathrooms were a little cold, but understandable given the look of the house (great for summer).

We had the most lovely 2 nights staying in the Karoo Cottage. It was clean, and beautiful and lovely. We really enjoyed the HUGE indoor fireplace in the kitchen and spent hours playing cards in front of the fire, when we weren't out wandering on the farm.
